Did You Know?

 

  1. That the name "Adah" was not given as such in the Holy Bible?  Adah's name was given by Robert Morris, for "lack of a better name."  Read the Book of Judges and you will never find the name, "Adah."

  2. That Ruth, the Moabitess, was a descendant of an incestuous relationship?  Her ancestor was Moab, the firstborn son of Lot by his oldest daughter.  Genesis 19:31-38.

  3. That Esther was not married to a "Master Mason?"  Ahasuerus was a Mede-Persian.  See Esther 1:2.

  4. That Mordecai was not her father?  He was her cousin.  See Esther 2:7.  Esther was Mordecai's uncle's daughter.

  5. That Martha's sister was possibly Mary Magdalene?  See Luke 10:38-42 and Matthew 26:6.  Both washed Jesus' feet with their tears and dried them with their hair.

  6. That Electa was not a woman?  She was the church in hiding.  Notice in John's Epistle, he used two words, 'elect lady' while the word Electa is one word.  No such woman existed, and certainly not named with a small "L".

  7. That all the colors of the Cabalistic Star can be found in all the degrees of Freemasonry?  Or most all colors in the degrees can be found in the Star?  Blue-"Blue Lodge"; Yellow-"Shrine"; White-"all houses"; Green-"Shrine"; Red-"Royal Arch and Shrine, as well as Consistory and Knights Templar."

  8. That Eastern Star officers are sometimes like King Herod (in the wrong place)?  In the wrong place at the wrong time.  See Matthew.

  9. That the three (3) gifts of the Wise Men represented Life and Death?  Gold-"wealth"; Frankincense-"death ointment"; Myrrh-"same."

  10. That word A-S-K represent the foundation of all knowledge, physical and spiritual?  See Matthew 7:7.  "Ask and...Seek and...Knock and..."

  11. That Daisy Bates was a member of the Easter Star?  Trinity Star Chapter #24, Little Rock, Arkansas.

  12. That Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton, Jerry Butler are counted as Prince Hall Masons?  Jerry Butler is Junior Warden North Star, Chicago.  Rest are from New York and elsewhere.

  13. That many "Buffalo Soldiers" were Prince Hall Masons from Missouri?  Missouri chartered the first Military Lodges in the Prince Hall Family.

  14. That Prince Hall Masons have fought in every war of the United States?  1776; 1812; 1836; 1861-65; 1898; 1918; 1941; 1950; 1971; 1991.  A total of ten, perfect number.

  15. That the Late Grand Master Moses Dickinson wrote the ritual for Prince Hall Heroines of Jericho?  See ritual for General Grand Conference Heroines of Jericho.

  16. That some White Jurisdictions will not allow Masons to belong to the OES?  Pennsylvania

  17. That some White Jurisdictions will not allow OES members to meet in their Lodges?  Pennsylvania

  18. That the OES is a part of Freemasonry, and that a Lodge is always called 'she', 'her' or 'mother'?  African Lodge #459 was a Mother Lodge.  Hence the other Lodges.

  19. That Prince Hall was a Methodist Minister?  According to some historians, he headed a White congregation.

  20. That Prince Hall started a school for Black children in his home?  According to some history books.

  21. That Prince Hall fought in the Revolutionary War?  According to history.

  22. That the mayors of Kansas City, MO and St. Louis, MO are Prince Hall Masons made "at sight" by Grand Master James N. Boyd?  Emanuel Cleaver, Kansas City and Freeman Bosely, Jr., St. Louis.

  23. That the Grand Matron represents Queen Bathsheba?  A "Worthy Mother" of King Solomon, represented by Worshipful Master and Grand Master.

  24. That Bathsheba was a Black Woman?  She was a Hittite; otherwise, she would have been stoned for adultery.

  25. That the Canaanites, including the Hittites, were Black people?  See Genesis 10th Chapter.  They were children of Heth, son of Canaan, son of Ham.
