Salutations,

My name is John Belcher, Jr. and I am pleased to share with you a project that was given to me by God Himself.  The project is to take the notes that I have taken from the Holy Bible and copy them into HTML format.  This project took one month for me to complete.  I am quite sure that there are some other forms of guides and concordances available at different bookstores to help you in your spiritual journey.  The reason why God led me to do this is to allow an easier way of finding Scripture that applies to whatever scenario that is taking place in your life.  When I was younger, I remember various people telling me to go and read the Holy Bible when trying to find guidance in life.  I have noticed that the Holy Bible has sixty-six books therefore; I had problems in finding certain passages that would be the most effective for different situations.  Don’t get me wrong because ALL SCRIPTURE is good although it would be even nicer to have a guide to speed up the process of finding Scripture that applies immediately to that certain situation.  In the later part of December 2002, I was motivated to read the Holy Bible and completed it on January 18, 2005.  The translation of the Holy Bible that I study out of is the Life Application Study Bible - New International Version (N.I.V).  The notes that you will find in this study guide comes from that Holy Bible and personal revelations from God.  Three things you have to remember when reading the Holy Bible are:  observation, interpretation and application.  Observation is where you read the material.  Interpretation is getting an understanding of what you have read.  Application is where you use what you have learned in your daily life.  I would like to mention that there are two ways to begin reading the Bible.  Some people like to read the Old Testament first and then the New Testament.  Others like to begin reading the New Testament first and then the Old Testament because you get to learn about Jesus Christ immediately and how He can help you in your life.  I took that route when reading the Bible.  I am also pleased to share with you a personal essay that I have written in the spring of 2005 called “The Generation Gap.”  I pray in the name of Jesus that this study guide will be a blessing to you and many others.  God bless you and enjoy your spiritual nourishment while reading the Holy Bible.

Yours In Christ,

John Belcher, Jr.

P.S.  I have just recently linked an online Bible from Biblegateway.com to all of the Scripture listed in the notes to better assist you.  It took a brother about two months to complete the task as of May 17, 2008!  Whew!
